- UN's Envoy Holds Political Parleys

Dec 15, 2009: Special secretary of the United Nations secretary general on children and armed conflict has met with the different political parties on Tuesday. Meanwhile, her meeting with the Maoist chairman Prachanda was cancelled on Tuesday and has again been scheduled for Wednesday.
She also met with the peace and reconstruction minister Rakam Chemjong on Tuesday.
Prachanda had pledged with her, in a meeting held one month earlier to evict all the child soldiers from the cantonements.

Dec 15, 2009: The sister organization of the Maoist all nepal landless people association has confiscated the land at Gainda Kot of Nawalparasi and have settled in the area.
The Maoist have seized the land which is in the name of the congress leader Surya Bhakta Adhikari, where now more than the two hundred people are residing. More than one hundred party flags have been stood on the land as the Maoist cadres had gone to the in a rally.

Dec 15, 2009: The Unified CPN--Maoist has declared another two republican states on Tuesday. Today the party has declared the Bheri Karnali and Bhote Lama autonomous republican states.
Maoist leader Krishna Bahadur Mahara had declared the Bheri Karnali at the Jumla's municipality Khalanga on Tuesday. The state included Jumla, Surkhet , Mugu, Kalikot and Dailekh.
Similarly, at the Humla's Simikot Maoist leader Netra Bikram Chand announced the Himali Bhote autonomous republican state.

Dec 14, 2009: The special secretary of the united nations general secretary Radhika Kumarashwami, who is the expert on children and armed conflict, has arrived to Kathmandu on Monday.
UNMIN has said that she has been to Nepal in order to ensure and finalize the eviction of the Maoist combatants who had been proven unqualified by the UN inspectors a few months earlier.
She is ensure the eviction of about three thousand Maoist combatants during her four--day visit here.

- At Least Thirteen People Die In Bus Accident

Dec 14, 2009: At least thirteen people have died and thirty five injured when a bus heading from Kashkikot of Kaski district met with an accident at Sarangkot on Monday. Most of the injured are in the critical condition.
Police has informed that the bus could have met with the accident due to the narrow road. The bus which was carrying 55 passengers had fallen one hundred and fifty meters down the road.
